There is one worse than even the polluted priest! That old man’s revenge has been blacker than my sin. He has violated, in cold blood, the sanctity of a human heart. Thou and I, Hester, never did so! † (225) Going against the heart is the greatest sin possible to Hester and Dimmesdale and their â€Å"sin† was between two people who truly loved each other. Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale is the father of Pearl and the one who committed the sin of adultery with Hester. As a man of high power in Salem, he does not confess the sin and the mental guilt would slowly kill him. Eventually, â€Å"his moral force was abased into more than childish weakness† (105) Through the ability Hester has shown and the miserable state of Dimmesdale, Hawthorne shows the power of confessing a sin. In an attempt to escape for their pasts, Hester, Pearl, and Dimmesdale plan to leave Salem. However, Roger Chillingworth, Hester’s legal husband, also catches a ride on the same boat. Returning to Salem, Hester, Dimmesdale, and Pearl go the scaffold, the place where Hester is originally condemned. In his dieing moments, Dimmesdale confesses his sin in front of the townspeople while also revealing a self inflicted â€Å"A† on his chest. Of all the sinners, Roger Chillingworth was the biggest. First, his sin of marrying a younger women and sending her over sees causes the adultery claim. When he arrives in Salem and learns of this, he commits his biggest sin†¦ violating the human heart. Rather than Hester’s adultery being her sin, Hawthorne goes against Puritan values by making violating the heart Hester’s true sin. In spite of this, I have analyzed that when in I got interrupted during conversation with others then I face problem in understanding the opinions as well as thoughts that the other people is trying to convey and as a result due to lack of understanding, misconceptions arises and understanding between me and the people who is communicating decreases. Interruption while hearing may creates lot of problem and as result I want to resolve this issue of mine that I face so that I can communicate well based on what I have heard from others without problem. Reflection of two recent professional interactions In order to provide evidence and for supporting the need for personal communication development, I am reflecting on two recent professional interaction that I had been within the past few months. I am analyzing the interactions from the perspective of two main communication issues that generally requires development. The interactions are generally elaborated below: In the month of November, a friend of mine was ill and therefore she asked me to note down all the important points that will be discussed in the class. However, in the class I sit beside one of the guy who is quite talkative and I was interrupted in the entire session of my class and therefore I face difficulty in hearing that is being discussed in the class. When I met my friend, I am not able to communicate all the sections or important points that are being discussed in the class. I gave her the overview of the points but I failed to provide her the detailed information. This conversation with my friend reflects that I need to resolve the issue that I generally faces due to interruption while hearing. Recently, our college has arranged a brainstorming session for all the students of the college. I have also participated in the brainstorming session. However, while speaking before the unknown faces I feel confused and thus not being able to speak properly on the topic on which I was supposed to express my thoughts or opinion. This interaction of my mine suggests that I feel nervous while speaking before strangers and thus I want to resolve this issue of mine with the help of appropriate technique. I have analyzed that this communication issue of mine requires development in order to resolve it. Literature Review The recent two professional interactions suggest that the problem is in communicating with strangers and communicating back while getting interrupted during hearing. It is quite important to resolve both the communication issues in order to develop as well as improve communication style for communicating properly with other people. In order to resolve the communication issues, various concepts, key models as well as behavior related with communication are demonstrated that assists in acquiring both communication style as well as proper interpersonal skill that is generally needed in order to demonstrate the competence in different areas (Neuliep, 2017). It is opined by Jack and Schyns (2015) that people should not expect the outcome while communicating for the first time with the strangers. It is identified that there is a difference between the actual happening as well as perceived outcome and therefore the number of times people think about a worse case, the chances of making it much more increases. It is very much necessary to utilize proper practice so that a listener can be able to listen while the speaker can speak without anxiety and as a result in this way they will need to fend off the interruptions. It also assists in increasing the quality of communication. It is opined by Berland and Berland (2017), that poor skills of listening generally results in ineffective communication which generally have an adverse effect on the productivity of the team, individuals as well as organization. The barriers of poor listening can be solved by adopting proper strategies as well as methods (Bradbury?Jones et al., 2014). It is identified that good conversational skills are assets with the help of which proper professional skills can be achieved. However people who talk more than necessary is considered as a hindrance therefore it is quite important for those people to avoid interrupting in useless talk. In order to resolve the problem of interruption during hearing, it is very much important to implement number of strategies that are elaborated below: Beware of interruption: It is stated by Galvin et al., (2015) that one needs to remain ware of interruption while discussing important topic with others. One needs to concentrate on the discussion by maintain an eye contact with the person with whom he is talking so that the chances of interruption gets lowered. Listen actively: It is very much necessary to listen actively to others while talking so that the chance of interruption or distraction gets reduced (Ghaferi and Dimick, 2015). While communicating with others it is very much necessary that people must remain aware about listening and for this it is quite necessary to get involved with as well as react with other persons statement which will be helpful in strengthening your understanding for making a better impression. Avoid negative questions: It is opined by Goetsch and Davis (2014) that asking a negative question between communications generally creates confusion so it is quite necessary to phrase the question positively that an individual wants to ask. Negative questions in the middle of discussion must be avoided so that the person who is hearing will get clearer idea of the communication. Be sensitive to technical knowledge: It is very much necessary to remain sensitive towards technical questions. In this phase it is quite necessary to aim towards quantity irrespective of quality. Evaluate the alternate solutions: It is necessary to go through various lists of alternative solutions in order to analyze their pros as well as cons until the best solution for resolving conflict is identified (Larson et al., 2014). It is very much necessary for each person to be honest. Decide the best solution: After the evaluation of best solution, it is necessary to decide the best solution that seems quite acceptable. Grizzly bears are large brown bears with coarse, silver-tipped fur. They have large brown humps over their shoulder that most people find disgusting. Grizzlies' claws can grow to 5 inches long. Their front claws are longer than their back claws. Grizzlies walk with their feet flat on the ground. You rarely see a grizzly walking while standing up. An adult grizzly may reach up to 8 feet in length. An average adult grizzly weighs about 850 pounds. An exceptionally large male grizzly may weigh up to 1200 pounds or more than 6 huge men. It's hard to believe that grizzly cubs can be so small that they can fit into cupped hands. Grizzlies may look lumpy and clumsy but they are actually among the most strongest and fastest creatures on earth. They can reach speeds of 35-40 mph. and, despite it's weight, could outrun the fastest man on earth. When grizzlies first come out of their winter dens, they are the thinnest they'll be the whole year because they haven't eaten in months. Their first meal after their winter hibernation would probably be a carcass of a moose or caribou that didn't survive the winter. Grizzlies have to eat a lot in order to survive the winter when they hibernate. Near the sea, grizzlies may find a beached whale or a dead sea lion or walrus. When the earth turns green they eat roots and sedges. Sedges are grasses that are grown in wetlands. They are important because they grow rapidly in spring and they are rich in protein. Grizzlies also eat nuts, insects, salmon and trout, and small mammals like squirrels. They may eat about 400 squirrels a year. Grizzlies can smell between male and female fish. They like female fish better because of it's delicious eggs. During the salmon season, a grizzly may capture 10 salmon and can afford to let some go. Though when salmon are rare, they will hungrily devour everyone they catch. Sometimes they eat only the head and eggs of a fish and disgard the rest. However, the rest don't go to waste because gulls swarm nearby ready to grab the leftovers. After the salmon run, grizzlies start on berries like blueberries, crowberries, and cranberries. However, they enjoy soapberries best. A bear may consume 200,000 berries in a day. If the berry crops fail, grizzlies more likely to seek out human foods. In the fall, a grizzly's droppings may be the berries they have eaten before. The North American bear, the grizzly bear, is found in Alaska, western Canada, and around the Rocky Mountains. In Alaska, the temperature may fall to 50 degrees below 0 in midwinter. Though during that time grizzlies are asleep in an underground den covered by a blanket of snow while they hibernate. For the matter of safety, about 200 grizzlies are living in Yellowstone National Park and around 500 to 600 are living in Glacier National Park. Grizzly Bears prefer rugged mountains and forests undisturbed by human enroachment. They also live in arctic wilderness areas. Grizzlies need a lot of space. Large landscapes should be reserved for them if wished that the species survive. However, they don't require untouched areas. If they did, there would be much fewer left. Though they do roam free in the scraps of wilderness they have left. Grizzlies are both predator and prey. They are predators to squirrels, fish, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, moose, and other small animals. They are prey to moose, caribou, and larger animals. So because of this, mother grizzlies fiercely guard her cubs. Grizzlies are true hibernators because they can go for 3 to 5 months without food. Even as long as 7 months in northern Alaska. The main focus of this enhanced map draws to the cautionary details. These are details that residents wouldnt be aware of Just by entering and exiting the neighborhood. Layout The map is displayed landscape, with the top part of the neighborhood facing west. I made sure to add extra detail and description to the areas that are more than Just visual. For example, anyone can see there are several entrances to the neighborhood, but I added extra description because each entrance is unique (pedestrian entrance, quest and residents only entrances) and one wouldnt be able to decipher that without the information graphic. Details Unaccounted M Street Apartments is a clean and well-maintained community. It is obvious by looking around the neighborhood that the maintenance staff works to their full potential. This, however, is not displayed in the information graphic. The visual is very informative to new residents, but it is very basic in that it doesnt correlate to the neighborhoods character. The importance of the visual is not to promote the neighborhoods essence, but to assist its client in important details that they may eve not initially known. Questions 1. Is it necessary to inform residents about the hazards and flaws of the information I provided is informative, but questionably subjective. Im curious to know if the residence would actually consider using my information graphic as a guide for their current residents. 2.
